I'm Not Getting Email Notifications

Troubleshoot missing email notifications from Press Hook, including sample requests, messages, and source request alerts.

If you are not receiving email notifications from Press Hook (such as sample request alerts, media messages, or source request notifications), here are the steps to fix it.

Check Your Spam or Junk Folder

The most common reason for missing emails is spam filtering. Check your email spam or junk folder for messages from these addresses:

If you find Press Hook emails in spam, mark them as "Not Spam" and add the addresses to your contacts or safe senders list. This tells your email provider to deliver future messages to your inbox.

Check Your Press Hook Notification Settings

Press Hook lets you control which types of notifications you receive. To check your settings:

  1. Log in to your Press Hook account.

  2. Click the three dots (...) in the upper-right corner of your screen.

  3. Look for "Notification Settings" or "Email Preferences."

  4. Make sure the notification types you want to receive are enabled (e.g., sample requests, messages, source requests).

If a notification type is turned off, enable it and save your changes.

Verify Your Email Address Is Correct

If your account email address has a typo or is outdated, notifications will be sent to the wrong address. Check that the email on your Press Hook account is the one you currently use:

  1. Go to your Account Settings.

  2. Check the email address listed.

  3. If it needs to be updated, change it and save. See "How to Update Your Email Address or Personal Info" for instructions.

Corporate Email Filters and Firewalls

If you use a corporate email account, your organization's email security may be blocking Press Hook emails. Ask your IT team to whitelist the following domains:

  • presshook.com

  • getpresshook.com

This ensures Press Hook emails are not blocked by corporate spam filters or security policies.

I'm Not Getting Notifications for a Specific Brand

If you manage multiple brands and are only missing notifications for one of them, check that you are listed as a user on that brand. You will only receive notifications for brands you are assigned to. An Admin user on your account can verify and update your brand assignments from the User Management page.

I Still Aren't Receiving Emails

If you have checked all of the above and still are not receiving Press Hook notifications, contact our support team with:

  • Your account email address

  • The type of notification you are expecting but not receiving

  • Whether you checked your spam folder

We will investigate whether the emails are being sent and help resolve the issue.
