If you want to permanently delete your Press Hook account and all associated data, follow the steps below. Before deleting, consider whether pausing or canceling your subscription might be a better option.

Before You Delete: Consider These Alternatives

Pause your subscription if you want to take a break but keep your data intact. Your profile will be hidden from media, but everything will be preserved for when you come back.

Cancel your subscription if you want to stop paying but may return within 90 days. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation.

Delete your account only if you are certain you no longer want any association with Press Hook and want all your data permanently removed.

How to Request Account Deletion

Currently, account deletion is handled by our support team to ensure data is removed properly. To delete your account:

  1. Contact our support team through the chat widget on Press Hook or email support@presshook.com.

  2. Include the email address on your Press Hook account.

  3. Confirm that you want the account and all associated data permanently deleted.

Our team will process your request within 5 business days and send you a confirmation when the deletion is complete.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your brand profile(s) and all profile content (products, images, services, press releases)

  • Your conversation history with media professionals

  • Your sample request history

  • Your account login credentials

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have multiple brands on your account, all brands will be deleted. Make sure to download any data you want to keep before requesting deletion.

Google Search Results

After your Press Hook profile is deleted, it may still appear in Google search results for a period of time. This is because Google independently caches web pages, and removing that cached result is outside of Press Hook's control. Google typically updates its index within a few weeks. If you want to speed up the process, you can submit a removal request directly to Google through their Search Console or "Remove Outdated Content" tool.
