Source Requests are posted by the media and are essentially an open call for stories they've been assigned and are actively working on.

1: Log in to your Press Hook profile

2: Click "Source Requests"

3: Browse through open opportunities. Once you find one that sounds like a match, click into it and make sure to read the full request!

4: If you find that the request is a match for you, click "Pitch."

5: Then select the Brand, Products or Expert you would like to submit for consideration.

6: If the journalist included a required format would like you to follow, please make sure to follow submission instructions exactly! If no specific format was requested, we suggest to include the following:

  • Name of Product/Brand

  • Link to Brand Website/Product Listing on Website

  • Description of Product/Brand, Price of Product & Why Its a Fit for The Story

  • Information On Availability: Brand Website, Retailers, etc. (Amazon is preferred!)

  • Information On Affiliates (This may include Amazon, Skimlinks, ShareASale)

7: Submit your pitch! Once you've filled out the required fields click "Send Pitch" in the top right corner. If the journalist finds you are a fit for the opportunity they may or may not reach out for more information.

One follow up should be more than enough, give it a week, send a brief follow up asking if the journalist would like more information or imagery.

Good luck pitching and feel free to message us via the Chat Box if you have any questions!
