We've seen thousands of pitches for source requests. Here's a few of our best tips plus an easy to use template, that works.

Step 1: This is where the Source Requests will be posted on Press Hook

Step 2: Find and select a source request that fits your brand, product and/or expert and make sure your pitch follows the guidelines the journalist is requesting in their source request. Most journalists are looking for the following information that you should include in your pitch:

  • Name of Product / Brand

  • Link to Brand Website and Product Listing on Website

  • Description of Product/Brand, Price of Product & Why Its a Fit for The Story

  • Information On Availability: Brand Website, Retailers, etc. (Amazon is preferred!)

  • Information On Affiliates (This may include Amazon, Skimlinks, ShareASale)

Step 3: Once all that information is written out, submit the pitch! Here is an example of a pitch. (Tip: If your brand or product has great ratings on Amazon, include those raving reviews too!)

Good luck pitching!
