Press Hook gives verified media professionals access to a curated database of brands across many industries. You can search and filter to find exactly the right brands for your upcoming stories, gift guides, roundups, and features.
How to Search for Brands
Log in to your Press Hook media account.
Use the search bar at the top of your dashboard to search by brand name, product type, industry, or keyword.
Browse the results and click on any brand profile to view their full details.
Using Filters to Narrow Results
Press Hook offers filters to help you find the most relevant brands:
Category: Filter by product category (beauty, food & beverage, wellness, home, fashion, tech, etc.) to see only brands in your coverage area.
Tags: Brands tag their profiles with specific attributes (e.g., "organic," "women-owned," "sustainable"). Use these tags to find brands that match your story angle.
Location: Filter by region if you are writing about local or regional brands.
Browsing Brand Profiles
When you click on a brand profile, you will see:
Brand description: An overview of what the brand does and what makes it unique.
Products and services: A catalog of the brand's offerings with images, descriptions, and pricing.
Press releases: The brand's latest news and announcements.
Press hits: Previous media coverage the brand has received.
Expert profiles: Team members available as sources or commentators.
This information helps you quickly decide whether a brand is a good fit for your story without needing to reach out first.
Connecting with Brands
Once you find a brand you are interested in, you have several options:
Send a message to the brand team to introduce yourself and explain what you are working on.
Request a sample if you want to try their product before writing about it.
Save the brand to revisit later when working on a relevant story.
Tips for Finding the Best Matches
Be specific with your search terms. Instead of searching "food," try "organic snacks" or "plant-based protein" to get more targeted results.
Check the brand's press hits. If a brand has been featured in publications similar to yours, that is a good sign they understand how to work with media and will be responsive.
Look at recently updated profiles. Brands that keep their profiles current are more likely to respond quickly to your outreach.
